this is a concept we developed where we perform a number of surgeries in a few days to decongest the long theatre waiting lists for babies with Spina bifida and hydrocephalus. While these two conditions are emergencies in their own right and should be operated on as soon as possible, because of various reasons and an overwhelmed health system we tend to have long waiting lists and in the process we either loose some lives that can otherwise be saved, or fail to get the best outcome. To date we have performed more than 5 surgical camps at Sally Mugabe Children’s Hospital (Formerly known as Harare Central Hospital or GOMO). This has helped more than 70 babies who would not otherwise have has an operation. Make a difference today by donating to a worthy cause.
